Angie Martinez just spoke to Meek's attorney, Jordan Siev, who assures her that Meek will be released today and he is in high spirits.
"We have got the order from the Supreme Court, we're hopeful to get him out today" he told Angie at approximately 5:00 P.M. Eastern time about the news that Meek will finally be freed on bail today.
He also touched on how Meek feels about other people being released thanks to his case uncovering all sorts of police corruption. "He's very proud, I cannot image what he's been through sitting in jail unjustly all these months."
