Green Day Cover Blondie's 'Dreaming' And Reminisce About Touring

Green Day officially announced they were postponing their Hella Mega Tour with Weezer and Fall Out Boy earlier this week, and to hold fans over until they're able to hit the road again, the band shared a cover of Blondie's "Dreaming" accompanied by a video that features a bunch of tour footage (and Billie Joe Armstrong's adorable dog Lenny).

"This isn’t a dream, or a drill our cover of @BlondieOfficial's Dreaming is out everywhere now," the band announced on Instagram. "This video's for all of you. We can't wait to see your faces when we're back out in the world 🤘"

Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy announced the tour postponement with a joint statement. “Hopefully this doesn't come as a surprise, but as much as we were all looking forward to seeing you all this summer, everyone's safety is our highest priority so we've officially made the call to reschedule all North American dates of the Hella Mega Tour until next year," it reads. "We'll be announcing summer 2021 dates with the same venues very soon, so hold on to those tickets. All ticket holders will be emailed directly with refund options as well. Please stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you in 2021.”

Armstrong has been churning out covers since quarantine began with his "No Fun Mondays" sessions and also recently shared a pretty awesome cover of "Johnny B. Goode" from when he was a kid.
