Kanye West Teases New Song 'Wash Us in the Blood' From New Album

Kanye West's #westdayever continues as the rapper not only revealed that he has a new song coming called "Wash Us in the Blood," but also confirmed the name of his upcoming new album: God's Country.

West shared the new information with fans in a tweet, writing in call caps, "KANYE WEST ARTHUR JAFA PROJECT 02 WASH US IN THE BLOOD FROM THE FORTHCOMING ALBUM GOD'S COUNTRY TODAY STILL #WESTDAYEVER." The tweet also included a video clip, teasing the song's visual.

Arthur Jafa is a video artist and cinematographer, and based on Kanye's mid-day tweet, it looks like the video will come later in the day on Monday (June 29).

In a recent chat on Instagram with fashion designer/producer Michèle Lamy, Jafa actually teased Kanye's new album by saying, "It's called God's Country, and this will be like, the first single, I guess, off of it." He added, "I don't know if I'm supposed to not be announcing it or whatever. I may just be spilling the beans."

Jafa also said, at the time, that he wasn't sure when God's Country will be released. "Wash Us in the Blood" and God's Country follows Kanye's 2019 Jesus is King album.

The new music comes on the heels of the announcement of Kanye's new partnership with The Gap — a 10-year deal for his line for men, women and kids called YEEZY Gap. The clothing line is expected to be released sometime next year.

In celebration of the new Gap partnership, Kanye shared a handwritten message via an enormous mural in Chicago outside of a Gap store on Michigan Avenue (in case you didn't already know, Kanye had once worked at the Gap). The mural reads, "Thank God. Hi Chicago it's Ye. this is the Gap store I used to shop at when I would drive my Nissan From the Southside. So blessed. I thank God and I am So humbled at the opportunity to serve. I put my heart into the Color palette and every Detail."
