The guy who produced “Special Delivery,” which is heavily sampled on Lil Wayne’s “Uproar,” isn’t happy with how things went down.
Elpee said, “They stole my [stuff]… It’s just like if I took [Swizz Beatz's] 'Ruff Ryders Anthem' and did it over and didn’t give him a credit for it … I know you’re trying to reinvent yourself. That’s dope.
There’s nothing wrong with that. But like damn my [dude], like you trying to act like you never heard ‘Special Delivery?'"
Migos Weren't The First Ones To Walk It!
Also a rapper known as M.O.S. claims Migos ripped off his 2007 track “Walk It Like I Talk It,” which was released on a 2008 DJ Folk mixtape and was copyrighted 10 years later in March of this year.
The songwriter and performer wants the Migosa and Capitol Records to pay up. He’s also asking a judge to stop Migos from performing their version going forward.
