CHILDISH GAMBINO: Sued Over Smash Hit Song
Childish Gambino is being sued by a rapper name of Kidd Wes, who claims that Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino ripped off the Grammy-winning song “This Is America.” Wes says two years before “This Is America” was released, he had a song out called “Made in America” with a nearly identical chorus and similar “lyrical themes and flows.” Kidd Wes alleges the Gambino track is “unmistakably substantially similar, if not practically identical.”
And he’s not just going after Gambino, he’s going after everybody involved with the song, including the co-writers, the record labels and even Young Thug, who contributed background vocals.
And he might have a pretty good case seeing as Kidd Wes uploaded “Made In America” to Soundcloud in 2016 before registering it with the U.S. Copyright Office in May 2017
TREY SONGZ: Sued for Beating Up Bartender
Trey Songz may be a lover, but he’s also definitely a fighter! He’s now being sued for battery after punching a bartender back in 2019.
Trigga was attending a Cardi B concert as a fan, and decided to sit down right on the bar to get a better view of the action. The bartender told him that was against the venue policy, which Trey blew off. After a couple more attempts to get him to comply, he turned around and punched the bartender.
Trey might need anger management… I mean if he really wanted to sit down, maybe he should’ve gone to the VIP section.
