The WeeKND Is Moving To Bel-Air!

The Weeknd just bought a massive Bel-Air estate, for $70 MILLION!

The 33,000-square-foot home was owned by a Dutch media mogul, and the sale was done off-market. The mega-mansion comes with 9 bedrooms, a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, sports court and a music studio where The WeeKND can keep cranking out hits.

A new home comes as a celebration after breaking the record for the most consecutive weeks The Billboard Hot 100 list with 88 for his single, "Blinding Lights."

He still has a $25M Beverly Hills penthouse, and it's unclear what he'll do with that property.

Recently, The Weeknd gave back to his homeland of Ethiopia, by donating $1 million in food aid amid Ethiopia’s conflict taking place in Addis Ababa and the Tigray region.

“My heart breaks for my people of Ethiopia as innocent civilians ranging from small children to the elderly are being senselessly murdered and entire villages are being displaced out of fear and destruction,” he wrote. “I will be donating $1 million to provide 2 million meals through the United Nations World Food Programme and encourage those who can to please give as well.”

More than two million people have been displaced due to the conflict, which has resulted in thousands of deaths. Both of The Weeknd’s parents, Makkonen and Samra Tesfaye, were born in Ethiopia and immigrated to Canada.

The WeeKnd is embracing new advances in the music industry with NFT's.

Non Fungible Tokens have emerged as a sweeping craze in cryptocurrency, as many artists have been experimenting with the format. The Weeknd is gearing up to incorporate NFTs into his next song release.

"New song living in NFT space," wrote The Weeknd. "Coming soon."

At the moment, The Weeknd has yet to say what song will he release, leaving questions. NFTs are still a new development, and many are still in the learning process. Ja Rule recently auctioned an original Fyre Festival painting for an NFT worth an $122,000, while Azealia Banks offered up an NFT sex tape with her fiancé Ryder Ripps.

So, keep an eye out for The Weeknd's foray into the world of NFTs.
