Happy Birthday Khalid!
The singer/songwriter signed to Right Hand Music Group and RCA Records, and rose to fame after his debut album, American Teen. spawned the top-20 singles "Location" and "Young Dumb & Broke". The album was certified double platinum.
Khalid followed up by featuring on Logic's "1-800-273-8255" with Alessia Cara, which earned him a Grammy nomination. He, then released the number-one pop songs "Love Lies" with Normani and "Eastside" with Benny Blanco and Halsey, both tied the record for longest charting songs on the Top 40 chart and reached the top-10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In 2018, he released the number-one Rhythmic song "Better" as the lead single from his top-10 EP Suncity, and followed with his second studio album, Free Spirit, which debuted atop the Billboard chart. The lead single "Talk" peaked at No. 3 in the US and earned him another Grammy nomination.
Last year Khalid came back with a new EP Scenic Drive, where he was joined by Alicia Keys, 6LACK, Lucky Daye, Quin, JID, Kiana Ledé, Majid Jordan, Smino, and Ari Lennox.
Khalid has six Grammy Award nominations, six Billboard Music Awards, three American Music Awards and a MTV Video Music Award.
