R. KELLY: Updates From Press Conference

TeeRoy's 2 Cents:

  • If he's convicted on all counts and receives the minimum penalty, that's 30 years. The max is 70 years.
  • Lock him up and throw away the key.
  • With every new detail we learn, we get a little more disgusted.
  • #TimesUp, Kells.

Illinois State's Attorney Kim Foxx held a press conference this afternoon where she detailed the charges against R. Kelly.

Four victims are testifying against against Kells as part of an upcoming sexual assault case, at least three of whom were under 17 when a crime was committed. The incidents happened between 1998 and 2010.

A judge signed off on a no-bail arrest warrant this morning (Friday), though the singer isn’t in custody at this time. He’s due in court on Saturday.

He’s facing a total of 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse, which is a class 2 felony. Each charge is punishable by three to seven years in prison or probation.
