Judge Says No New Trial For Meek Mill
Judge Genece Brinkley has ruled that Meek Mill will not get a new trial.
She issued the ruling on Monday, saying, “After an in-depth review of the record, court history, notes of testimony and evidence submitted at the evidentiary hearing, this court hereby denies defendant’s position for PCRA relief as defendant failed to meet his burden of proof.”
Brinkley’s ruling flies in the face of recommendations from the Philadelphia District Attorney. She said even if you think the arresting officer was a dirty cop, it wouldn’t have changed the jury’s guilty verdict.
Meek’s lawyers say they “continue to believe that this miscarriage of justice will be corrected upon further review, and that the public’s confidence in the impartiality of the judicial system in Pennsylvania will be restored.
DJ Paul Says Hip Hop Is Gonna Die Because Of Young Rappers
DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia is not impressed with the new generation of emcees, citing that if there isn’t a change, there will be no more Hip Hop music.
The DJ from the Academy Award-winning Memphis-based crew took to Twitter to air out his frustrations, claiming that the millennial artists have no authenticity or originality.
Paul asserts that Hip Hop is in the worst state that it has even been in as far back as he can remember and there are some in his age bracket that would agree with the Dirty South trap rap pioneer wholeheartedly.
