DaBaby's "Kirk" Hits #1 On Billboard 200

DaBaby officially will have his first number one album as Kirk will open the Billboard 200 chart in the top slot.

The album was heavily supported by streaming as just 8,000 of the albums were physical sales.

The first studio album from DaBaby, Baby on Baby, was released at the top of the summer and peaked at No. 7. To date, that album has 719,000 equivalent album units, which put him at over 1 billion on-demand audio streams for the tracks.

BET HIP HOP AWARDS: Tune in Tonight!

The 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards go down tonight .

The show was taped in Atlanta over the weekend, and will air on BET at 7pm. In keeping with tradition, the show will feature a series of cyphers with different groups of artists.

The festivities are hosted by Lil’ Duval.

Other highlights will include:

Lil’ Kim bringing out Junior Mafia to perform to celebrate being honored with the I Am Hip Hop Award.

The new Best International Flow category

The first-ever comedy cypher, featuring Lil’ Duval and more spitting punchlines and rhymes.

Battle rap will take the main stage for the first time ever

A performance from Saweetie featuring Lil Jon and Petey Pablo.

Performances from Megan Thee Stallion, Rick Ross, DaBaby, Chance The Rapper and more.
