MEGAN THEE STALLION: Reacts to Potential Coachella Cancellation
2020 South by Southwest has been cancelled because of the Coronavirus
Word is Coachella could be postponed from April until October.
Billboard reports that organizers plan to make the call within the next 48 hours after crunching the numbers and considering the schedules of the more than 100 artists on the bill. A postponement of the festival, which spans six days and two weekends, would actually be the best-case scenario.
The lineup for this year’s Coachella includes Travis Scott, Frank Ocean, 21 Savage, DaBaby, Lil Uzi Vert, and more.
As of Monday, the Coachella Valley area currently has six known cases of COVID-19.
LIL BABY: Shoots Down Rumors of Offset Altercation
Lil Baby has shot down rumors that his crew 4PF jumped fellow Quality Control artist Offset.
Baby calls the talk of a 4 Pockets Full beatdown on the Migos rapper “fake news” after reports surfaced that the two parties got into an altercation that ended in Offset in his underwear. Alleged witnesses claimed that 4PF stripped Offset of everything but his boxers and just left him [at the Compound nightclub].”
There isn’t any photo or video proof of this going down. But Offset did really unfollow Lil Baby and 4PF on Instagram, which some folks are reading into.
Lil Baby commented on the rumors of an alleged brawl, calling them “cap.” On Instagram, he wrote, “Stop spreading fake news!! That [stuff] fake!! Please!!”
CARDI B: FTC's Steamed Over Tea
The Federal Trade Commission is steaming mad at Cardi B and it's all because of tea.
The FTC says Bardi promoted a detox tea brand with unproven claims of medical benefits without disclosing that she was paid for the endorsement. BuzzFeed News reports that the commission sent a “sternly worded warning letter” to Cardi, informing her of the rules and regulations when promoting products and services to her 60 million Instagram followers.
The FTC is seeking a million dollars in damages from the tea brand, Teami. That money would then be dispersed to consumers who were duped by the company, which made fantastic claims about its tea and skincare products. The Teami website claims the teas can “fight cancer, unclog arteries, stop migraines and treat colds.” It also says that its diet products could “burn fat, boost metabolic rate and cause substantial weight loss.”
