TRAVIS PORTER: Quarantine Style Concert

Travis Porter is taking their talents to the parking lot.

The Atlanta trio has announced plans for a “Quarantine Style concert” to celebrate their 10th anniversary. Ali, Quez (a.k.a. Black Boe) and Strap say they are “pioneering the new wave of performance.” The group says both pre-sale and VIP tickets are nearly sold out. The tickets start at $60 per person -- which means everyone in the vehicle needs to buy one.

There’s even a “front row twerk section” which you can pay $15 to access. Cash prizes will be given out to the “lit-est” car in the section.

Sounds like a way to stay safe and have fun while social distancing.

Who knows, this might wind up being a whole new touring model for artists -- at least for this Summer.

LIZZO: Thoughts on Defunding Cops

Lizzo isn't shy about sharing her opinions on today's issues, so it's no surprise that she has thoughts on the "defund the police" movement.

The singer went onto TikTok to tell followers that she sees the need for extensive change, saying "Imagine a world where the properly trained people are called during times of crisis, instead of people who get six months of training, and have been negligent on the job, AKA killing people and getting away with it."

She offered a few suggestions for implementing change before finishing by saying "Abolish the police as we know it. Imagine a safer future for America."

Lizzo started her career in Minneapolis -- the city where George Floyd was killed by now-jailed cops two weeks ago.

"Abolish the police was we know it" isn't the same as "no police at all" -- it means major reform.

BEYONCÉ: Potential $100 Million Disney Deal

Disney approached Beyoncé for a blockbuster contract following her role last year in The Lion King. The singer is now in “advanced talks” to participate in three major movies for $100 million.

An insider confirmed, (quote) “The negotiations are still ongoing but it’s the final details that are being thrashed out now.”

She’s already on the Black Panther sequel soundtrack. Disney would want her to voice documentaries for their Disney Plus streaming service. The source added, (quote) “After the success of Meghan Markle voicing the film Elephant, Disney Plus has projects coming up which align perfectly with Beyoncé’s brand.”

Disney is probably playing a long game and hopes to eventually sign Blue Ivy for a Disney Channel comedy.

Spotify just paid $100 million to podcaster Joe Rogan, who does not compare to Beyoncé.
