Jay-Z Is Paying It Forward
Jay-Z has established himself as one of America's most successful Black businessmen, and he's trying to help others up the ladder with a new ad campaign.
Hov took out full-page ads in daily newspapers such as the New York Times, Chicago Tribune and Denver Post, promoting various businesses from law firms, to restaurants, to beauty salons.
Eventhough the ads varied from town to town, they all ended with the message “Historically, Black people have been murdered for owning, thriving and being successful. To that, we say never again. Power is in Black voices. Power is in Black actions. Power is in Black wallets.”
You know, an endorsement like this is worth a lot... The old marching slogan says it best -- "a people united will never be defeated."
