Gordo, a frequent collaborator, shared insights into the Toronto rapper's mindset during an interview with People published on Wednesday. Fans have expressed concerns about Drake's mental health following the success of Lamar's track "Not Like Us." "Since all this unfolded, I've noticed he's been happier. It’s quite strange. He seems pretty jolly," Gordo stated. "Social media can portray him as sad with photos that aren't flattering. That’s just a poor picture taken poorly. Because it's him, the scrutiny is intense, making people think, 'Oh, his eyes look tired; he must not be sleeping.' But honestly, he's been really happy and just taking it easy." Gordo also mentioned that he doesn't anticipate any further comments from Drake regarding the feud. "He's moved on from it," Gordo explained. "He just finished the longest tour ever, lasting about a year. I think he's just relaxing now." Since dropping his last diss track, "The Heart Part 6," Drake has chosen to focus on lighter collaborations, featuring on tracks with Sexyy Red and Camila Cabello.
