A sad day when you hear stories of women being abused for declining an offer. A 31-year-old woman in Harlem is receiving heavy support today as community members are standing up and speaking out against a violent attack that she fell victim to. The woman says she was walking into the store and purchased a wine bottle, thats when a group of men approached and one of the men asked to buy it for her but according to newyork.cbslocal.com the woman says she responded saying “I politely declined, and I said no thank you, but thank you, I can pay for it myself. And I got ready to walk out. Before I walk out he basically said that he felt like I thought I was better than them,” Soon after the men followed her outside, kicked her and one even bit her forehead.
Authorities are still on the look out for the men and community members are not standing for it!
